Grandma, the government lied to us! There's going to be a big flood!
~ Nima warning his grandparents about the coming disaster

Nima is a Tibetan Buddhist monk a survivor of the 2012 Apocalypse.

A follower of Lama Rinpoche, him and his grandparents are forced to relocate from their home in Cho Ming in 2009 to make way for a Chinese dam project, which in reality is where the top-secret Arks are going to be launched and constructed, unbeknownst to him.

Years later in 2012, his brother Tenzin warned Nima about the coming disaster, also giving him information that Tenzin would be able to get him and their grandparents inside the Arks and be safe.

On his way to meet Tenzin at Cho Ming, he is stopped by Jackson Curtis' group who plead for help. When Nima arrives with the group, Tenzin demands Nima send them back. Nima refuses citing his faith, and with the additional backing of his grandmother, Tenzin lets them through.

He ends up helping the group through the Ark and tries to give encouragement to his wounded brother when they are trapped in the Ark's flooding stern.

When the calendar resets to Year 0001, Nima and his family are seen for the last time, who gaze in amazement at the view.
