Nauru was an island country in Oceania, in the Central Coral Sea before it was located in Tokelau Islands. It features a coral reef and white-sand beaches fringed with palms, including Anibare Bay on the east coast. This made it the only country, unlike the rest of Oceania, not to have any capital.
During the 2012 apocalypse, Nauru was hit by earthquakes during the Tokelau Islands Earthquake. Due to the Earth's islands reversing their seas across the globe, Nauru's original position is now where the Tokelau Islands were.
In the aftermath of the apocalypse, Nauru's original position was rendered uninhabitable until it rose above the sea level when the floodwaters began to recede, and became habitable. While all the Earth’s other islands suffered massive damage from earthquakes and tsunamis, Nauru didn't get much damage by any of them.
