Lake Mead was a lake between Nevada and Arizona.

During the 2012 apocalypse, massive earthquakes struck both Nevada and Arizona, which caused Lake Mead to shake and its water presumably fell into the Earth's crust when the earthquake created numerous canyons that split the ground up. When the earthquake subsided, the remains of Lake Mead laid in ruins until a megatsunami at the height of 1500 meters flooded the Western United States in the Worldwide Flooding.

As a result of the apocalypse, Lake Mead is submerged underwater, left with extreme damage and is rendered uninhabitable.
